Oh...the Macbeth FACTS.

1. Macbeth died on August 15, 1057, 17 years since becoming King

2. In 1050, Macbeth became the first Scottish king known to make a pilgrimage to Rome.

3. Lady Macbeth’s real name was Gruoch and Macbeth’s was Mac Bethad mac Findlaích.

4. The name Mac Bethad (or MacBheatha in modern Gaelic) means ‘son of life’.

5. Macbeth is the only play by Shakespeare that mentions a rhinoceros.

6. If you do say “Macbeth” in a theatre, you are meant to walk three times in a circle anti-clockwise, then say a rude word or spit.
