The Acts
Act I
The genesis of Macbeth starts off with the Three Witches talking about the prophecy of Macbeth. Duncan believes Macbeth should be awarded the Thane of Cawdor for his killing of the Thane of Cawdor. The Three witches return telling Macbeth and Banquo of their future of kingship. Then Macbeth decides to tell Lady Macbeth through letter that he will be king. As soon as that happens Lady Macbeth starts to plot the death of King Duncan. Duncan decides to go stay at the Macbeth manor to celebrate Macbeth’s new name.
Act II
Macbeth finally kills Duncan with a dagger belonging to the guards. Macduff finds the King and starts to tell everyone of the horror that he has seen of Duncan dead. They suspect it’s the guards and but not Malcom and Donalbain, they believe someone in the league with their father Duncan has plot against them, so they escape. Ross and an Old Man talk about the sons actions in taking off.
Act III
Macbeth is now the new king of Scotland and is having a feast at the castle to celebrate. Macbeth invites Banquo but he denies the invitation as he and his son Fleance are heading out of town. Macbeth orders two murders to kill Banquo and Fleance, hearing what the prophecy said about Banquo. The two murders kill Banquo, but have failed to kill Fleance as he had escaped their attack. They tell Macbeth at his dinner, there Macbeth started to get paranoid and started hallucinating Banquo. Macbeth made a huge scene at the dinner table with all the nobles. Lord and Lennox talk about how suspicious Macbeth is, and how Malcolm is making an army. Meanwhile, Hecate the witch queen is talking to the Three Witches about how they have done wrong in talking to Macbeth without her, and they need to kill his for doing so.
Act IV
The three witches talk to Macbeth and show him three apparitions telling him his near fate, giving him some hope. Macbeth talks to Lennox about killing everything at Macduff’s castle. Meanwhile Ross is at Macduff’s castle talking to Lady Macduff about her husband, when he leaves a Murder comes in and kills every living soul there. Malcolm and Macduff are planning the attack at the Scotland castle to surprise Macbeth, then comes Ross telling him what has happened at his castle.
Act V
Macbeth is going to war with Malcom, he is preparing for the battle but is confident with what the prophecy said. Lady Macbeth is sleep walking and imagining the blood of Duncan on her hands, the doctor and maid see her and start to get worried. The doctor and Macbeth talk about her sickness, then all of a sudden a women screams out and come to hear that Lady Macbeth was murdered by the enemy army. Macbeth goes out to the war zone and starts fighting Macduff, who beheads Macbeth. Malcom takes back the throne and promises his thanes and kinsmen a reward.
